Consortium Project Management will provide quality, professional
program and project management services and training to all clients.
Our aim is to manage projects from planning to closeout. We believe we can provide cost-effective, valued added service by managing risk and delivering quality built projects on time and within budget.
We are a firm lead by seasoned veterans of the architectural, engineering and construction industry. Our principal has over 30 years experience in public and private sector design, construction and project management.
Our firm principal, James Abron, P.E., PMP is a Registered Civil engineer (California and Michigan) and PMI Certified Project Management Professional. In addition to his technical credentials, Mr. Abron is a Certified Professional Coach - using this skillset to coach engineering and project managers at various stages of their career.
Mr. Abron earned a B.S. in engineering from Purdue University and the M.B.A. from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California. Additionally, Mr. Abron is the holder of a Certificate in Total Quality Management from California State University, East Bay), and the Professional Development Degree in Engineering (construction management) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Having earned a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Schoolcraft College, Mr. Abron served as an Arbitrator for the California Contractors License Board and currently serves as an Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the National Futures Association (NFA). Mr. Abron has been certified by the Michigan Supreme Court as a civil and domestic relations mediator.
Mr. Abron has worked as a public sector engineer (Jr. Engineer to Director of Public Works), mediator, arbitrator and engineering consultant. His portfolio of work in design and construction is valued at over $1 billion. As an engineering consultant, Mr. Abron has designed water and wastewater treatment systems, pipelines and other drainage projects.
Mr. Abron has taught courses on heavy construction processes and specifications at Diablo Valley College and project management at the University of California, Berkeley Extension and the Keller Graduate School of Management.
Mr. Abron is an elected Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, member of the Project Management Institute, American Society for Quality, the International Project Management Association, and the International Association of Coaching.
